About Us

school front building At Paradise Elementary School we believe all students have a right to learn in a safe, nurturing learning environment. To fulfill our mission, we have established high standards in both academic and behavioral areas and provide opportunities for all students to successfully meet these standards. Our school plan focuses on students achieving proficiency on the state content standards. Teachers teach while continuously reviewing student assessment results to ensure the success of all. This continuous evaluation of student achievement guides our instruction.

Our school environment promotes respect, responsibility and safety (RRS) among all individuals and focuses on the asset development of students. BEST/RRS team members promote activities that reinforce these behavioral expectations and encourage students to take leadership roles in the school. Students are recognized and rewarded frequently for appropriate behavior and gracious manners along with their academic achievement.

PES offers a "blended services" academic support program called "Team Success," which incorporates our Title I and Special Education resources. Team Success personnel collaborate, teach and participate in general education classrooms supporting all students' academic, physical, behavioral, social or emotional needs.

PES provides a supportive, caring environment for all students, with staff and parents unified in promoting our high standards. We are fortunate to have wonderful parent and community involvement and support. Parents are active on our School Site Council, along with our Panther Club Parent Organization. Parents plan and organize school-wide activities, rewards and fundraisers. Parents and community members are welcome and active in classrooms and at the school site.

We invite and encourage you to become involved in your child's education at PES. It is only through the cooperative efforts of the school and the home that each child will receive the benefit of an excellent learning experience. Families are essential in this partnership, and we look forward to working with you in the development of your child. It is our privilege to be part of your child's educational journey.
